# Texas Spring-Crop Volume Off 91% as New Mexico Jumbos Reach $16.00

Texas spring-crop shipments clocked 23 units (10,000-lb units) for the week of July 8, down 91% from the prior week and 88% below the 5-year median per USDA movement reports. Oregon is meanwhile moving at 169 units for the week, more than triple the seasonal historical pace per USDA movement reports. New Mexico yellow jumbo firmed to mostly $16.00-16.00, 50-lb sacks, per USDA shipping-point reports, the highest of the sack origins this week.



- **Georgia yellow jumbo, 40-lb cartons:** mostly $23.00-24.00, USDA shipping-point (week of July 8).
- **Washington yellow jumbo, 40-lb cartons:** $25.00-25.00, USDA shipping-point (week of July 8). Washington yellow medium 50-lb sacks are running 54% above the 5-year median.
- **California yellow jumbo, 50-lb sacks:** mostly $15.00-16.00, USDA shipping-point (week of July 8). California colossal 50-lb sacks sit 55% above the 5-year median, up 3% on the week.
- **New Mexico yellow jumbo, 50-lb sacks:** mostly $16.00-16.00, USDA shipping-point (week of July 8).
- **Oregon onion exports:** 282 units (10,000-lb units) for the week, 66% above the 5-year median per USDA movement reports.
- **Mexico crossings:** 321 units (10,000-lb units) for the week of July 8 per USDA movement reports, the dominant import channel.

New York shipments came in at 38 units for the week, down 61% on the week but still 154% above the 5-year median per USDA movement reports. Idaho shipments were 16 units, up 187% versus the 5-year median but down 24% on the week.

**Data note:** 19 series have not updated in more than two weeks, concentrated in Imperial Valley. Any Imperial Valley figure from USDA shipping-point reports should be treated as potentially stale.
