Georgia New-Crop Cartons Hold the Domestic Ceiling at $23.00-24.00

Georgia's new-crop yellow jumbo held the domestic price ceiling at mostly $23.00-24.00 per 40-lb carton, per USDA shipping-point reports. Domestic Idaho shipment volume fell to 1 (10,000-lb unit) for the week, down 94% from the prior week and 99% below the 5-year median per movement reports, as the Northwest storage crop closes out its August-to-April run.

• Georgia yellow jumbo: mostly $23.00-24.00, 40 lb cartons (USDA shipping-point, June 8). Current domestic market ceiling, Georgia's spring new-crop in active rotation.
• New Mexico yellow jumbo: mostly $15.00-15.00, 50 lb sacks (USDA shipping-point, June 8). Single price-point quote; active in the new-crop window.
• California yellow jumbo: $12.00-13.00, 50 lb sacks (USDA shipping-point, June 8). In-season domestic origin.
• Washington yellow mediums: 50 lb sacks, flat on the week per USDA shipping-point reports, 54% above the 5-year seasonal median.
• Northwest export movement: Idaho exports 16 (10,000-lb units), 284% above the 5-year median; Oregon exports 284 (10,000-lb units), 87% above the 5-year median, per movement reports.
• Import channels: Mexico crossings 618 (10,000-lb units), week of June 8 (movement reports). Peru crossings doubled to 12 (10,000-lb units) for the week of June 5, from 6 units the prior week.

Volume divergence, California: In-season California shipments fell 88.8% on the week to 174 (10,000-lb units), 53% below the 5-year median per movement reports. FOB held at $12.00-13.00, 50 lb sacks (USDA shipping-point, June 8). Volume down sharply, price flat.
